The numbers in the bible are fallible

In Deuteronomy 7:1-7, we read that God was sending the Israelites into the Promised Land to ethnically cleanse away seven different nations, each nation being more numerous than Israel herself.

If the Israelites really numbered 2 million (see other posts), and we take Deut7 literially, that would mean at least 14 million people (7 nations greater than 2mil) were living in the Promised Land. Which is more than the current population of the same area today! Israel today is far more densely populated than ever, yet only has a population of 9 million.

In reality, Archaeologists calculate that the population of the entire middle east (Egypt to Turkey, to Afghanistan to Yemen) was less than 10 million in 1000 BC.

The numbers in the bible are… fallible.
