Moral Issues in The Old Testament

This book carries a lot of emotional baggage for many people. So that may be immediately off-putting, which is fine. I myself said a lot of negative things about Dawkins before I read any of his work.

And to be fair, its not a scholarly book. But it is actually a good book. It’s scathing and confrontational, yes, but it’s a fair take.

Particularly the final four chapters where he brings out moral issues in the OT very effectively [timestamped to 6h 15min, chapter 7].

Dr Richard Dawkins is a British evolutionary biologist, zoologist, science communicator, and author. He is an emeritus fellow of New College, Oxford, and was Professor for Public Understanding of Science in the University of Oxford. He holds a BA in zoology from Balliol College, Oxford, and a master’s and two doctorates from the same college.
